Therapy for people seeking more peace, self-knowledge, and meaningful connection.

I believe that much of the pain we experience comes from a disconnect between our authentic selves and our narratives of who we “should be.”

Therapy is an opportunity to deepen our self-understanding, recognize the forces that created this painful divide, and explore ways to heal and move forward.

Feeling seen and heard by a therapist can make an immense impact on our emotional and mental well-being. Developing simple skills and techniques for better coping can also be transformative, and is eminently achievable in the right therapeutic setting.

A little humor and warmth don’t hurt either.

In therapy-speak, I am an “eclectic” therapist, which means I pull from multiple different modalities depending on what is most supportive of my client, including Existential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and performance psychology.

I strive to make every session trauma-informed. I believe that the single most important factor dictating whether therapy works is a trusting, open relationship between therapist and client. Without that… nothing works.

Background & Education:

I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a Masters in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA. I completed my training practicum at the California Pacific Medical Center Integrative Therapy Program, where I supported people from diverse backgrounds facing mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, family crises, and existential overwhelm in response to severe medical diagnoses. I have also completed the Alchemy Community Therapy Center Ketamine Therapy Provider Training, and I served on their Board of Directors from 2020 to August of 2024.

I graduated from Duke University with degrees in English and Business. Prior to becoming a therapist,  I founded and ran multiple businesses in the financial services and online education sectors.

My “typical client” doesn’t fit into a neat box, but these are the groups of people I have the most experience supporting:

  • Psychedelic experiences can transform our lives, but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t challenging. In fact, some of the biggest truths and realizations offered up by our psyches are destabilizing, confusing, and downright scary. My work with clients draws from my own personal healing journey—as well as years of work within a number of psychedelic-focused organizations—to help clients intent on undertaking a psychedelic experience to do it safely and with the best possible chance for achieving their goals.

  • Trauma can make you feel like your world is suddenly unfamiliar and unsafe, and that your nervous system has frozen solid. Whether you think you may have Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder or you simply feel held back by old emotional wounds, therapy can help. My work with clients in this arena is built around moving at the speed of safety and helping clients connect with their inner capacity to create change.

  • Starting and running a company is one of the most exhilarating, challenging, and often stressful endeavors a person can undertake. It brings up questions about our identity, our relationship to success and failure, and our ability to work with and manage people. As someone who has founded and run multiple companies, I am well acquainted with the challenging emotions that come with this experience.

  • I often work with men who are drawn to inner work but are resistant to what they imagine (or have previously experienced) therapy looks like. Many men find it challenging to be fully seen, heard, and understood by someone who has not had similar life experiences or has not received the same cultural messaging that they have. One of the most rewarding parts of my therapeutic work has been seeing male and male-identifying clients create meaningful change by exploring parts of themselves that they have previously been unable or unwilling to engage.

  • Anyone who has been a trader, regardless of asset class, knows that it is a deeply psychological endeavor. My role as the CEO of a trading education and software provider, as well as previous roles within the world of trading, have given me a deep understanding for the unique challenges that traders face. Sometimes my work with traders focuses on things like managing emotions during trades, and other times it has focused on issues “outside of the markets” that the trader feels compelled to work through. If you’re a trader and looking for psychological support, I’d love to talk to you to see if I can help.
